Sight Seeing
To rap our trip up in South Africa we went to Cape Point/ Cape of Good Hope and Boulder (Penguin Island). At Cape Point we got to stand at the most south-western point of the African continent. While at Cape Point I got attacked by a baboon! It ran up to me and tried to steel my bag of chips that were in my hands! It was so scary! Then at penguin Island we got to walk around the beach where there were tons of penguins and their babies just laying around
SAFARI!!
Today some of us had to wake up super early so we could go to the safari! And oh my gosh the safari was the coolest thing ever!!! We saw ostriches, many different kinds of antelopes, rhinoceros, elephant, giraffe, zebras, lions, buffalo, and wildebeest. It was so cool! We got to go so close to them I felt like I could touch them! It was awesome!!!
Then laster that night we went to moyo to eat. This place was desinged like a little village where you could stop off and get food. The food was amazing! and while you ate, they had entertainment like dancers who could go up and dance and play music for you. And before you went to eat, a lady came around and painted everyone's face

Child Welfare
Today we went to Cape Town child welfare and we got to speak to the ladies in charge. It was very interesting because as they talked to us, they expected the United States to be better and more organized when it came to child welfare. But what they found out is that, for the most part, the United States had basically the exact same problems as South Africa does. Then we went to Hout Bay and spoke to the people who help out there and we got to see that community that is helped.

People of South Africa
Today we first went to Auntie's G. and the Captain's house. We were welcomed into their home and given a very nice spread of food and drinks. From there we were taken to the community health centre and shown the whole building. We then went over to the prison and got to see where rape victims are held and were prisoners were held. Then we headed over to Rionell's place of work. Her boss and the other employees she works closely with showed us around the hospital they all work in. We then were taken to an amazingly nice place to eat dinner, complementary of the Doctor.
Philani
Went to the township of Philani and saw how the women work in their community and help their community. The women in Philani go to work making carpets, bags, aprons, things out of cans, jewelry, and much more. While they are at work their children are being watched over and schooled. These ladies work is sold to the public and receive some of the profit of their work to support their families
Eagles Point
Today we went into the hills of South Africa to visit Jeanne at Eagles Point. We got to meet and interact with all the children that she was working with. The kids that were in the classroom sang us two songs and then took us to a township where they bought land to start building. We then went to Bilton Wines where we tasted wines and experience wine and chocolate
